KYRIAKOS PIERRAKAKIS

Minister of Economy and Finance

Kyriakos Pierrakakis serves as the Minister of Economy and Finance in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and he is also a Member of the Hellenic Parliament.

He holds degrees in both computer and political science. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business, followed by a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Master of Science in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

From 2019 to 2023, as the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Pierrakakis implemented significant reforms that transformed the relationship between the state and its citizens. During his tenure, gov.gr, the digital portal for public services, was launched, consolidating over 1,500 new digital services—including the Gov.gr Wallet and the award-winning My Health app—streamlining procedures for millions of citizens and businesses, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was appointed Chair of the OECD’s Global Strategy Group Meeting in 2021, a role he was re-appointed to in 2024.

From 2023 to 2025, as the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, he led significant legislative reforms to establish a modern, high-quality, and inclusive education system. The Higher Education Bill, which was introduced during his tenure, empowers public universities through institutional and financial support, promotes their internationalization, and regulates the operation of branches of foreign universities. Schools embraced the digital era through initiatives such as the Digital Education Portal and a Digital Tutoring Platform providing educational resources even in the most remote areas of Greece. Moreover, the stop-bullying.gov.gr platform, stricter school regulations, and the “Active Citizen Actions” educational program reflected the Ministry’s firm commitment to improving school safety.

Mr. Pierrakakis was born in 1983 in Athens. He is married with three children. He speaks English and French.

TAKIS THEODORIKAKOS

Minister of Development

Panagiotis (Takis) Dimitriou Theodorikakos is Minister of Development and Member of Hellenic Parliament of Athens B3 Constituency (South).

He was elected in the 2023 national elections with 47.300 votes and was ranked second.

He was Strategy and Communication Advisor to the President of ND since October 2015 and Coordinator of Strategic Planning and Communication of the party, from October 2016 until the victorious election contests of May and July 2019 when he was elected as Member of State of the ND.

  • In July 2019, he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of the Interior.
  • In August 2021 he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of Citizen Protection.
  • In June 2024 he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of Development.
  • He has a long professional career as Political researcher and analyst and Strategy Advisor.
  • PhD in Public Policies at the University of Peloponnese where he taught at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences till June 2019.
  • He was a scientific partner and president of the company GPO SA, from 2000 to 2016. He has presented important social and political research in Greece and abroad at scientific conferences, workshop and mass media.

Graduated from the Pedagogical Department of EKPA. He completed his Master’s studies at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of EKPA in political science and sociology specializing in electoral sociology.

He graduated from the High School of the Ionidios Standard School.

He was born in 1964 in Piraeus.

NIKOLAOS DENDIAS

Minister of National Defense

Nikolaos Dendias was born in Corfu and hails from Paxi. He is a graduate of the Athens College and of the Athens University Law School (with honors). He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of London, specializing in Maritime and Insurance Law (University College – UCL) and Criminology (London School of Economics – LSE).

He is a Supreme Court Lawyer.

Nikolaos Dendias was first elected Member of Parliament in 2004 and has been re-elected ever since. He has served as Minister of Justice (2009), Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection (2012-2014), Minister of Development and Competitiveness (2014), Minister of National Defense (2014-2015) and Minister of Foreign Affairs (2019-2023). In June 2023 he was reappointed Minister of National Defense.

He is married to Dafni Lala and has three children.

KOSTAS TSIARAS

Minister of Rural Development & Food

Kostas Tsiaras was born in Karditsa in 1966. He is a Microbiologist and Biopathologist, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Athens, with further training in the field of in vitro fertilization at university centers in Sweden.

Kostas Tsiaras was President of the Association of Primary Health Care Workers (S.E.P.F.Y.) of Karditsa (1992-1993). He is also a member of many scientific associations: founding member of the Karditsa Studies Institute and founder of the Hellenic-American Friendship Association of Karditsa. He was a member of the Greek Democratic Party, President of the Local Committee of the Karditsa Regional Council (1991-1994) and at the same time responsible for Quality of Life of the Karditsa Prefectural Committee.

In 2004, he was first elected as a member of parliament with the New Democracy party in the prefecture of Karditsa. He was re-elected in the 2007 elections, as well as in the 2009 elections of May and June 2012 and January 2015, first in preference crosses.

He has served as Head of the Health and Social Solidarity Sector, Deputy Head of the Civil Responsibility Sector for Citizen Protection of the New Democracy party and Secretary of the Agricultural Sector of the New Democracy party.

He was President of the Greek Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Parliament of Azerbaijan and a member of the Greek Parliamentary Delegation to the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Council (PABSEC), for the cooperation of the countries in the Black Sea region and the Black Sea.

From July 2012, by decision of the then Prime Minister Mr. Antonis Samaras, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs until June 2013. He then served as Chairman of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament until January 2015.

In January 2016, following a proposal by the President of ND Kyriakos Mitsotakis and after unanimous acceptance by the MPs, he was elected Secretary General of the ND Parliamentary Group.

In July 2019, he was sworn in as Minister of Justice in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In June 2023, he was appointed Parliamentary Representative of ND.

In June 2024, he assumed duties as Minister of Rural Development & Food.

He is married to Angeliki Stergiouli, a Molecular Biologist by profession, and they have a son and two daughters.

He speaks English, French, German and knows Russian and Italian.

THANASIS KONTOGEORGIS

Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister

Thanasis Kontogeorgis is the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, since June 2023. His main areas of responsibility cover the monitoring, evaluation and coordination of the government’s work and reform program, as well as the preparation of the Consolidated Government Plan.He also supervises the Special Secretariat of Foresight.

He  served  for four years as Secretary General for the Coordination of the Government, having as main responsibilities the planning and coordination of the government actions for the implementation of key policies, including crisis management, the European Enhanced Surveillance Program, the reform part of the National Resilience and Recovery Plan “Greece 2.0”, the National Reform Plan, the Regional Development Plans, national horizontal plans for the economic and social development, as well as the annual preparation of the Consolidated Government Plan.

During the economic adjustment programmes, until 2014, he served as Adviser to the Greek Government, providing support to the Office of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and the General Secretariat of the Government, while he actively participated in the negotiations between the government and the European Commission, IMF and ECB. He is a lawyer at the Supreme Court and the Council of State. He graduated from Athens College and the Law School of the University of Athens and holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Harvard University (Master in Public Policy-Harvard Kennedy School of Government). He is married and has two children.

KOSTAS HATZIDAKIS

Vice President of the Government

Kostas Hatzidakis is Vice President of the Government, member of the Greek Parliament and Vice President of the New Democracy Party.

He was born in Rethymno, Crete, in 1965.

He is a member of the Greek Parliament since 2007.

He is a lawyer in Athens.

President of the Youth Organization of New Democracy (1992-1994).

Member of the European Parliament (1994-2007).

Minister in the Ministries of Transport (2007-2009), Development (2012-2014), Environment and Energy (2019-2021), Labor and Social Affairs (2021-2023) and National Economy and Finance (2023-2025).

APOSTOLOS TZITZIKOSTAS

European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism

Apostolos Tzitzikostas is the Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism. His task is to make European transport more competitive, sustainable and resistant to future shocks, and to ensure that it is safe, accessible and affordable for all EU citizens.

He is responsible for:

  • working to ensure that the missing Trans-European Transport corridor parts are built by 2030, and strengthening the single market for transport services
  • promoting a resilient and competitive tourism sector, in line with the EU Agenda for Tourism 2030
  • putting forward a plan for an ambitious European high-speed rail network to help connect EU capitals
  • developing a Single Digital Booking and Ticketing Regulation to help passengers buy one single ticket on one single platform and protect passenger rights
  • putting in place a Sustainable Transport Investment Plan to scale up and prioritise investments to decarbonise the sector, including the electrification of road transport and the use of cutting-edge technologies
  • focusing on different transport sectors, for instance by developing  a new industrial maritime strategy
  • coming up with a strategy for EU ports, focusing on security and competitiveness

CHRISTOS DIMAS

Minister of Infrastructure & Transport

Christos Dimas is a lawyer and Member of Parliament for Corinth with the New Democracy party. He was born on 29 May 1980. He graduated from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and from Queen Mary University of London. He received his Master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

He then completed his PhD in European Politics from the LSE, with a scholarship from the Alexander Onassis Foundation. The title of his doctoral thesis is: “The importance of the national institutional framework and domestic consultation during proposed reforms. The case of the privatization of national telecommunications in Greece and Ireland”.

In parallel with his studies, he worked as a correspondent in London for the newspaper “I Apogevmatini”, while also doing an internship in journalism at the BBC.

At the age of 25, he was teaching, as an assistant professor, at the LSE to first-year students, the course “Introduction to Political Science”. He has also taught the course “Social Impacts of Mass Media” to postgraduate students at the ICON College of the University of Leicester and was a scientific associate at the Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence. He has scientific publications in Greek and international scientific journals.

Before running for office, he worked in the private sector as a business consultant at “The Boston Consulting Group (BCG)”, a strategic consulting firm.

He was elected MP for Corinth with the New Democracy party in the elections of May and June 2012 and has been elected continuously since then.

  • From July 2019 to May 2023, he served as Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, responsible for Research & Innovation.
  • From June 2023 to June 2024, he was Deputy Minister of Culture, responsible for Contemporary Culture issues.
  • From June 2024, he was Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance.
  • From March 2025 to the present, by decision of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he serves as Minister of Infrastructure and Transport.

In his free time, he plays football and basketball, and reads history books.

He is married to lawyer Nikoleta Syrengela and they have a daughter, Alkisti – Stefania, and a son, Stavros – Konstantinos.

STAVROS N. PAPASTAVROU

Minister of Environment & Energy

Stavros N. Papastavrou is the Minister of Environment and Energy.

He served as a Minister of State from June 2023 to March 2024.

He is an attorney-at-law, with postgraduate studies at Harvard Law School, Harvard University.

He has worked for more than three decades as a legal advisor in the private sector, specialized in corporate law and capital markets, both in Washington D.C. and Athens.

He was appointed as Head of the Prime Minister’s Office of European Affairs and International Relations and served as chief negotiator of the Greek state with the European partners and the International Monetary Fund, in 2012-2015.

He served as Secretary of International Relations and the European Union of New Democracy Party (2004-2012). He was elected Chairman of the Student Organization of the European People’s Party (EDS), Chairman of DEMYC (Democrat Youth Community of Europe, 1997-2001), he was a founding member of the Youth of the European People’s Party (YEPP) and a member of the Political Council of the European People’s Party.

He was born on 23 July 1967, to Nikos and Fani Papastavrou. He is married to Mari Agaliotou and has two children, Nikolas and Fenia.

AKIS SKERTSOS

Minister of State

Akis Skertsos is Minister of State, responsible for monitoring government work since August 2021. Since April 20, 2023, he has also served as government spokesman.

He served as Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, responsible for the coordination of government work (July 2019 – August 2021).

He has served as General Director of the Hellenic Confederation of Greek Employers (SEV) (June 2014 to June 2019).
He has served in positions of responsibility in the Public Sector during the five-year period 2009-2014, as Director of the Office of Acting Prime Minister Panagiotis Pikrammenos and Minister of Finance Yiannis Stournaras.

He holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Management and Lobbying from George Washington University in the USA and a graduate of the School of Journalism and Media of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1995 – 1999).

He speaks English and French.

He is married and the father of one child.

NIKI KERAMEUS

Minister of Labour & Social Security

Niki Kerameus was born on July 18, 1980, in Thessaloniki. She is married to lawyer Dimitris Loukas, and together they have two sons, Loukas and Konstantinos.

She holds a law degree from the Panthéon-Assas University Paris II with a specialization in international law, a master’s degree in private international law and arbitration from the same university, and an LL.M. focused on international arbitration from Harvard Law School.

Professional experience

She is a lawyer and a member of both the Athens Bar Association and the New York Bar Association. From 2004 to 2019, she practiced law in Athens and New York, mainly focusing on civil law and arbitration, until she assumed the position of Minister of Education and Religious Affairs.

During her postgraduate studies in France, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Panthéon-Assas University Paris II, teaching first-year law students.

Parliamentary and political activities

On July 14, 2024, she assumed the position of Minister of Labour and Social Security of the Hellenic Republic. Previously, she served as Minister of the Interior of the Hellenic Republic from 2023 to 2024. During her term, postal voting was introduced for the first time in the history of Greece and a new framework for the selection and evaluation of public body executives was established.

From 2019 to 2023, as Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, she worked systematically to improve the quality of education at all levels, particularly under the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Key reforms during her tenure include the extension of compulsory preschool education by one year, starting from the age of 4, the introduction of English and Robotics from kindergarten, the implementation of courses focused on the development of skills (e.g. critical thinking, empathy) for ages 4 to 15, the evaluation of teachers, educators and education executives, the strengthening of public university extroversion and internationalization through partnerships with leading institutions abroad, and the overall upgrade of vocational education and training.

Since 2015, she has been an elected Member of the Hellenic Parliament with the New Democracy Party, originally for the State Constituency and, since 2019, representing the Athens B1 Constituency (North). Her roles within the party include serving as Responsible for the Administrative Reform and E-Government Sector from March 2015 to January 2016, Parliamentary Spokesperson from January 2016 to November 2016, and Head of the Education, Research and Religious Affairs Sector from November 2016 to July 2019. She has played an important role in shaping the New Democracy Party’s policy proposals, particularly relating to a comprehensive education program and curriculum, voting rights for Greeks living abroad, improvements of the organ and tissue donation system and the constitutional amendment proposals.

Social activities

She is a founding member and the first President of the non-profit foundation Desmos. While working in New York, she was awarded for her pro bono work, providing free legal services to New York homeless groups.

SOFIA ZACHARAKI

Minister of Education, Religious Affairs & Sports

She was born in Athens, originally from Neo Argiri, Evrytania.

Her father was a theology professor in secondary education.

She studied English Literature at the Department of English Language and Literature of the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with postgraduate studies in Comparative Pedagogy and Administration of European Educational Organizations at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She has specialized in the teaching of the English Language at the Institute of Education, University of London. She has worked as a professor of English literature in public and private education.

Her professional experience includes the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, where she worked in the European Union Department, as well as in the Secretariat for Lifelong Learning and Youth.

From 2012 to 2014, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Development on International and European Relations.

In 2015, she represented Greece in the IVLP (International Visitor Leadership Program), as a scholar of the United States Department of State, on the topic “The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Rebuilding Economies”. She speaks three foreign languages: English, French and Spanish.

VASILIS KIKILIAS

Minister of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy

Vasilis Kikilias was born in 1974 in Athens. He is a graduate of Leonteios School of Nea Smyrni. He studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, pursued postgraduate studies at the National School of Public Health, and subsequently earned a doctorate from the Medical School. He is a surgeon specializing in orthopaedics.

Alongside his studies, he built a notable career in sports, particularly in basketball, playing for teams such as AEK, Panionios, Ionikos, and Apollon Patras, with his participation in the Hellenic National Basketball Team being a particularly distinguished honor.

His political career began in 2006 when he was elected as a Municipal Councilor of the City of Athens. From 2007 to 2010, he served as President of the Organization for Youth and Sports of the Municipality of Athens.

In November 2010, he ran for Regional Governor of Attica in the local elections and emerged as the leader of the major opposition party. That same year, he was appointed Secretary of Sports for the Nea Democratia political party, and the following year, he was designated as a Deputy Secretary of Program Planning.

The year 2012 marked a milestone in his political career, as he was elected Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Athens 1st constituency with the Nea Democratia political party, a position he helds still continuously for the past twelve years. Throughout this period, he has participated in various parliamentary committees, including those on National Defense and Foreign affairs, Public Administration, Public Order and Justice, Social Affairs, and Gender Equality, among others.

In June 2014, he was sworn in as Minister of Public Order for six months, during which he achieved significant progress in combating terrorism.

In 2016, he was appointed as the spokesperson for Nea Democratia, and in 2017, he assumed the role of Head of the National Defense Sector for the Nea Democratia political party,.

In July 2019, he was appointed Minister of Health, successfully managing the critical period of the COVID-19 pandemic. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening the Greek healthcare system, overseeing the expansion of intensive care units, securing large-scale vaccine procurement and distribution, and implementing public health measures that contributed to controlling the spread of the virus.

In 2021, he was sworn in as Minister of Tourism, serving for two years. During this period, he focused on extending the tourism season, attracting high-value investments, and promoting Greece as a top global destination. His tenure saw record-breaking increases in tourist arrivals and revenues, reinforcing tourism as a key pillar of the Greek economy.

Since 2023, he has been serving as Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, effectively addressing the challenges posed by climate change. Till today, he has implemented major reforms to enhance Greece’s preparedness and response mechanism to natural disasters. He has overseen the modernization of the countrys civil protection mechanisms, including the expansion of aerial firefighting capabilities and the reinforcement of emergency response teams. Additionally, he has introduced a more proactive approach to disaster prevention, with an emphasis on climate adaptation measures, improved early warning systems, and the coordination of European resources to combat extreme weather events. His leadership has been focused in strengthening Greeces resilience against natural disasters like wildfires, flash floods, and other climate-related crises.

A key project under his leadership is the AEGIS Programme, an ambitious 2.1 billion project fund aimed at upgrading Greeces civil protection mechanism. The programme includes the procurement of state-of-the-art firefighting aircraft, the incorporation of new technologies to emergency response, and the enhancement of disaster preparedness at both the national and local levels. AEGIS focuses on leveraging advanced technology, such as artificial intelligence and real-time monitoring systems, to improve early warning capabilities and crisis response and management. By implementing AEGIS, the Ministry seeks to establish a comprehensive and modern framework for addressing climate-related threats, ensuring preparedness against natural disasters in the years to come by building resilient communities and reducing the human and economic toll of these catastrophic events.

His involvement in politics stems from a personal need to contribute with faith, persistence, and seriousness to any effort that can create better conditions for all of us and for future generations. In such a challenging period, we all owe it to ourselves to have an active role in the public matters of our country. It is the least we can do. We have a responsibility and duty towards our child’s, fellow citizens and our nation.

From March 2025 to the present, he has assumed the duties of Minister of Shipping and Island Policy to strengthen shipping, support the islands and ensure the safety of our seas.

He is married to Jenny Balatsinou and they have a son.

STAVROS KALAFATIS

Deputy Minister of Development

Stavros Kalafatis is the Deputy Minister of Development Responsible for Research and Innovation. Member of Parliament for A΄ Thessaloniki NEA DEMOKRATIA. He also served as Deputy Minister of Development (2007 – 2009), Minister of Macedonia – Thrace (2009), Alternate Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (2012 – 2014), Deputy Minister of Interior Responsible for Macedonia – Thrace (2021 – 2023).

He’s been a member of the Greek Parliament since 2003. He’s been reelected as a member of the Parliament in 2004, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2023. He served as Secretary General of the ND Parliamentary Group (2019 – 2021 and 2023 – 2025) following a proposal by the Prime Minister and President of Nea Demokratia, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

His political carrier started in 1998 when he was elected into the Municipal Council of Thessaloniki and sworn in as Deputy Mayor responsible for the Environment and the Green Belt in 1999. He served as special advisor of Communications and Public/International Relations to the Municipal Council of Thessaloniki (2000- December 2002).

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1965. He’s an Attorney at Law. He studied Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued his education receiving an MA in International Studies from the same institution in 1991. In 1994, he took a second MA from the University of Maryland, USA, in Sports Management. He worked as a Communications Manager for “Macedonia”, one of the most popular newspapers in Greece. He was a Management and Communications Consultant of the soccer team PAOK. He also taught sports management at private colleges. He’s married to Vicky Moisiadou with whom he has a daughter and a son.

KONSTANTINOS A. KARAGKOUNIS

Deputy Minister for Social Security

He was born in 1975. He was first elected as a member of the Hellenic Parliament with the party of New Democracy (ND) in 2009, and since then he has been re-elected in all subsequent elections. In 2012 he was appointed as a Deputy Minister of Justice, Transparency & Human Rights. In 2014 he was the Parliamentary Representative of ND and in 2015 as the Spokesman of ND. He has also been the Head of Justice Section for ND. In 2014 he was appointed president and now is member of the Greece-Israel Friendship Group and the Greece-USA Friendship Group. He has been elected as the Chairman of the Special Permanent Committee on the Penitentiary System and other forms of the confinement of detainees from 2019 to 2024.

Ηe is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens and holds a Μaster’s degree in the Field of International Law from the University of London-UEL; he graduated with honors. He continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh in the field of Intellectual Property. He attended Harvard University’s Program “Global Change Agents Executive Education Program”, in 2011. He is fluent in English and French.

He is a lawyer in Athens and is married with 3 children.

DR. KONSTANTINOS N. BAGINETAS

General Secretariat of Agricultural Policy & International Relations, Ministry of Rural Development & Food

Dr. Konstantinos N. Baginetas was born in Lamia (Greece) in 1977. He studied Agronomy at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He continued his studies at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London on issues of Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development (M.Sc.) and the University of Nottingham in matters of Interdisciplinary Development of Agro-environmental Sustainability Indicators (Ph.D.).

Since 2007 he works in the Directorate of Rural Affairs of Central Greece of the Decentralised Administration of Thessaly-Central Greece, where he is principally engaged with investment projects regarding the modernization of agricultural holdings, projects focusing on young farmers entering agriculture and matters of agrotouristic development investment projects. He has, also, served as an officer-administrator of tens of Technical Assistance projects in the Special Managing Authority of the Region of Central Greece.

He has been a consultant of the Deputy Minister of Development and Competitiveness and of the Alternate Minister of Finance Mr. Chr. Staikouras during 2013-2014.

In July 2016, the President of the political party of New Democracy (ND) Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, appointed him as the Secretary of Rural Organisations of ND.

He participated as a member of the Thematic Group for the Strategic Planning on «Innovation-Research-Training» of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food regarding the preparation of the programming period 2014-2020 and in Working Groups of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece regarding the formulation of proposals within the Rural Development programming period 2014-2020.

He has participated in numerous research and vocational training sessions abroad and in Greece. He has attended many workshops, seminars, national and international conferences, where he has presented research papers. He was a leader and a member of several European research programs and best practice exchange programs. He is an External Expert-Evaluator of the European Commission for the program «Horizon 2020» on issues of «Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry, Marine, Maritime Affairs and Bio-Economy».

He is a certified adult educator and has participated as an instructor in educational programs related to environmental education, environmental management, rural development and rural entrepreneurship.

He has been elected a Representative of the Agricultural Sector of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE) in the Regional Branch of Central Greece.

He has been elected President of the Agricultural Association of the Prefectures of Fthiotida-Evritania and a member of the Board of the Panhellenic Federation of Agricultural Associations (POSG).

He has authored the books entitled “Rural Development Program 2014-2020 & Rural Development Proposal for the Municipality of Lamia”, “Sustainable Leadership in School Units. EVANGELOS KYRIAZOPOULOS

Secretary General of Maritime Affairs and Ports, Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy

Mr. Evangelos Kyriazopoulos assumed the duties of Secretary General of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy since 08-05-2019 and remains in charge after the issuance of the Presidential Decree 77/2023 according to which the General Secretariat of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments was renamed to General Secretariat of Maritime Affairs and Ports, with extended responsibilities.

He holds a BSc in Economics and Master from the Maritime Studies Department of the College of Cardiff (Wales). Furthermore, he holds a PhD on the general topic of “Ports, Spatial Planning and Regional Development”, as well as having authored a post-doctoral dissertation on “Marine Spatial Planning – Blue Economy” at Panteion University. He has served as lecturer at the Hellenic Army Academy and the Panteion School of Public Administration, and has participated as a lecturer in three postgraduate programs (Panteion, University of Crete, NCSR). He has taught maritime, logistics and spatial-strategic planning at the Institute of Public Administration, as well as in public and private higher education institutions, faculties and colleges.

He has worked in the private sector in the fields of maritime research, shipping, banking and maritime journalism. He has furthermore worked as a special scientist in the Department of Planning of the Ministry of Environment and as scientific adviser to ministers in the Ministries of Environment and Maritime. He participated in various committees and working groups of the European Commission, the OECD and Greece on issues related to spatial planning, maritime spatial planning, coastal management, island policy, diving parks, aquaculture, transport networks, industrial parks, tourist areas and urban / regional projects.

He was a special assistant to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his term as Minister of Administrative Reform. He then served in the area of Local Government as Secretary General of the Municipality of Galatsi and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Local Government of the Central Union of Greek Municipalities (2015-2019).

He has a number of scientific and other publications, with particular interest in the maritime tradition.

NIKOS ANDROULAKIS

Nikos Androulakis was born in 1979 in Athens and grew up in Heraklion, Crete. He studied Civil Engineering at the Democritus University of Thrace and holds a master’s degree in the “New Materials and Environment” program.

In 2006, he was elected to the National Assembly of the Technical Chamber of Greece representing Eastern Crete.

In 2008, he was elected to the Central Political Committee of PASOK and in 2013, he was elected Secretary General of the Party.

In May 2014, he was elected Member of the European Parliament and he was re-elected again in 2019 where he was vice-chair of SEDE Subcommittee on Security and Defence, and vice-President the EU-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.

Spyros Theodoropoulos leads the food group BESPOKE SGA HOLDINGS SA, which he founded in early 2022 by acquiring NIKAS, ION, AMBROSIA and HELLENIC JUICES employing 1,500 people.

He began in 1976 at the family-owned dairy production company Recor S.A. In 1989, he acquired CHIPITA with the aim of implementing the innovative idea of producing packaged long shelf-life croissants, for the first time worldwide. In 2006, CHIPITA merged with the companies DELTA, Goody’s, and Barba Stathis, creating the Group VIVARTIA. In 2007, VIVARTIA was acquired by MIG, and Spyros Theodoropoulos continued to hold the position of CEO.

In 2010, Spyros Theodoropoulos, together with the Olayan Group and other Greek entrepreneurs, reacquired CHIPITA, which he developed into one of the leading companies in bakery snacks globally. CHIPITA was acquired by MONDELEZ in 2021, in a landmark deal for the Greek food sector.

He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEV (Hellenic Federation of Enterprises).

He has served as Chairman of the Association of Listed Companies, Vice Chairman of the Athens Stock Exchange, member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Greece, member of the Board of Directors of Public Power Corporation and a member of the General Council of the National Bank of Greece.

IOANNIS BRATAKOS

President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Ioannis Bratakos was born in Athens in 1968. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering & Management and a Master’s degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics & Political Science. In 1999 he co-founded DD Synergy, a company that offers software and hardware solutions. He has been actively involved in the SAP software services field, from 1995 to 2022.

He has been a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of GREGORYS MICROMEALS and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the consulting firm CAPE CONSULTING.

He has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2006. In December 2017 he was elected as the Chamber’s Vice President, supervising innovation, new technologies and investments, as well as the domestic start-up ecosystem.

During his service at the ACCI, he has been a member to numerous Committees, including the Steering Committee for Progress & Development and the Monitoring Committee of the National Reform Program for the Lisbon Strategy. Furthermore, he has been the ACCI’s representative on the EuroCommerce Technology & Communication Committee.

In February 2021, he joined Athens University of Economics and Business as a member of its Strategic Advisory Committee for the Postgraduate Studies in Services Management.

In September 2021 he was elected President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and he served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Athens Association of Entrepreneurial Development, from November 2021 till August 2022.

ALEXANDROS DIAKOPOULOS

Executive Chairman & CEO of Hellenic Aerospace Industry

Alexandros Diakopoulos is a seaman, as well as a Helicopter Pilot and Instructor. He was born in Athens on October 11, 1962. He entered the Naval Academy in 1980 and graduated in 1984.

He has served in various positions in Naval Units and Headquarters of the Hellenic Navy as Staff Officer, Head of Department and Director of several Directorates in Hellenic Navy Helicopter Command (HNHC), Fleet Command and Hellenic Navy General Staff.

Additionally, he has served as Naval Attaché of Greece in Ankara (TURKEY) and as “spokesperson for the Navy” (Public Information Officer) in the Chief’s of the Navy, Bureau. His Command posts include the posts of Commanding Officer of MSC AIDON (M-248), and HS PROMITHEUS (A-374), as well as Commanding Officer of Hellenic Navy Helicopter Pilot School (HNHPS) and of the Hellenic Navy Helicopter Command (HNHC).

Upon promotion to the rank of Commodore he was posted as Director of International Affairs Branch in the Hellenic National Defence General Staff. In 2014 he was assigned by the Minister of Defence, as Defence Policy Director at the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence.

Following his promotion to Rear Admiral in 2015, he was assigned Commander of Naval Training and Education. In September 2016, while taking on his duties as Commander of Naval Training, he was also assigned as Superintendent of Hellenic Naval Academy.

Following his promotion to Vice Admiral in January 2017, he was assigned as Commandant of National Defense College. On February 8th 2019 he retired holding the title of Emeritus Commandant of the National Defense College.

In addition to the various Vocational Career Schools and the Naval War School he has studied at the Collège interarmées de Défense in the École Militaire in Paris and holds a Master’s Degree in Defense, Geostrategy and Geoeconomics (DESS: Diplome d’ Etudes Superieures Specialisées en Défense, Géostratégie et Dynamiques Industrielles) from the Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a Master in Public Administration (MC / MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School (John F. Kennedy School of Government).

On August 1, 2019, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the creation of the position of National Security Adviser (NSA) to the Prime Minister and appointed him to this position. He was the first to assume this position and he organized the National Security Bureau from scratch implementing the PM’s directives. He resigned on August 19, 2020. On May 7, 2021, he was appointed as General Director for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On February 2, 2024 he was appointed as Executive Chairman and CEO of HAI, a position he currently holds. Additionally, since March 2024 was appointed, as Vice President, on the Board of the War Museum.

He has vast experience in foreign policy, defence and intelligence, as well as in interagency coordination, in policy planning and execution, and a proven record of organizational efficiency and people management and development.

He is a member of the Board of the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). He frequently writes articles in the daily press on subjects of International Relations, Defense and Foreign Policy. He speaks French and English.

Mr. Tzortzakis currently serves as CEO of the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation.

A recognized trailblazer, early in his career Mr. Tzortzakis founded Forthnet SA, a groundbreaking telecom and media company that became Greece’s leading alternative fixed telephony and pay-TV operator. Under his leadership as CEO (1995–2010), Forthnet disrupted the market, went public on the Athens Stock Exchange, and acquired NOVA (2017), solidifying its dominance in the pay-TV sector.

Mr. Tzortzakis has been a key player in Europe’s tech and telecom policy landscape. He served on the Supervisory Board of NETIA SA, led Greece’s national Tech & Communications Federation (SEPE) as Chairman, and played a pivotal role in public sector modernization. In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Minister of e-Government, spearheading Greece’s digital transformation efforts. Lazaros A. Papagaryfallou was appointed Deputy CEO of Alpha Bank in July 2024. Andreas Lykourentzos was born in Tripolis, Arcadia, in 1957. He is a graduate of Panteion University, from the department of Political Studies, having followed the direction of Comparative Political Analysis. He was elected as Member of Parliament for  the region of Arcadia in the National Elections in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2012.

During his eleven-year parliamentary term, he participated as a member in the Standing Parliamentary Committees on: Social Affairs, Finances, Educational Affairs, Public Administration and in the Special Committees on: the Environment, the Review of the Constitution and Districts.

He served as a Deputy Minister of National Education and Religions during the Government administration of Kostas Karamanlis 2007- 2009. He served as a Minister of Health during the Government administration of Antonis Samaras in 2012- 2013.

From 1st November 2019 since, he has been appointed as the President of the Organisation of Greek Agricultural Insurances.

VASILIS KOKKALIS

In 2008 he is elected Vice-president on the National Consumers and Market Congress (ΕSΚΑ), an instrument that recommends the policy for the consumer and market to each Minister for Development.
In the years 2008 and 2009 he participates in the Continuous Commercial Committee of the Greek Parliament as a representative of the consumers’ organizations for bills regarding the consumer (illicit practices and collection companies, unfair terms of Bank contracts, purge of insurance market etc.). Many of the proposals of IN.KA. of THESSALY became laws of the state.
From 2010 to date, systematic and factual support of the consumer – mortgage owner with the law about the “overcharged households”.
He was first elected Member of the Greek Parliament in January 2015 and re-elected at the next election in September 2015.

NAPOLEON MARAVEGIAS

Professor Emeritus, School of Political & Economic Sciences, University of Athens

Napoleon Maravegias was born in 1955. He studied Economic Science at the University of Athens and continued his studies in France at the University of Grenoble, where he earned a D.E.A. and a Doctorat d’Etat (1983) with distinction, supported by scholarships from the Agricultural Bank and the A.S. Onassis Foundation.

From 2000 to 2022, he was a Professor, and since 2022, he has held the title of Emeritus Professor of Macroeconomic Analysis and European Economic Integration in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens, where he served as Deputy Chair from 2006 to 2008. In 2006, 2009, and 2012, he was President of the Hellenic University Association for European Studies (EPEES). In 2001, he was honored by the French Republic for his contributions to Economic Science, and his latest book (co-authored with G. Doukas) was awarded by the Academy of Athens.

He served as Minister of Rural Development and Food in the caretaker government of P. Pikrammenos in 2012, which was formed by non-political figures of broad acceptance. From 2015 to 2019, he was the senior Vice-Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 2018, he founded the Research Center for Economic Policy, Governance, and Development at the University of Athens. In 2020, he was appointed a member of the Committee for the Celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the 1821 Revolution. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Evaluation Committee for the Legislative Drafting Process of the Hellenic Parliament.

He has conducted studies and reports for research programs, authored or edited books in Greek, English, and French, and published over 100 articles in Greek and international scientific journals, either alone or in collaboration with other authors. He has taught at foreign universities, including Grenoble, Oxford, Montpellier, Valencia, Paris, and Budapest.

Mr. Konstantinos Mitzalis was born in Thessaloniki and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Since 1978 he has been the President and CEO of ETETH SA and since 2001 is the Managing Director of AVAX Group and member of the Board of Directors of a number of subsidiaries and companies affiliated with the Group.

In almost fifty years of his professional career, he had the opportunity to direct, supervise or contribute with his knowhow to a very large number of emblematic projects in Greece and abroad. Mr. Benroubi is the Vice Chairman and CEO of METKA ATE, the recently established infrastructure company, as a subsidiary of MYTILINEOS.
He joined MYTILINEOS in January 2006 and has held the positions of General Manager of Power and Gas Business Unit of MYTILINEOS (Protegria) from its inception in 2010 until 31/12/2022, Chairman and CEO of Protergia Agios Nikolaos Power (until it merged with Mytilineos), Chairman of the BoD of ENDESA HELLAS, General Manager of Zinc-Lead Metallurgy

He has held the position of President of the Hellenic Association of Independent Power Producers from March 2022 until February 2023 (HAIPP), and from March 2019 until February 2020.

He started his career with TITAN Cement S.A., where he worked for 25 years and ultimately held the position of Cement Division Executive Director-Greece. In 2004 and for the next 2 years he joined VIOHALCO Group as CEO of ELVAL S.A.

Born in 1954 at Thessaloniki, Mr. Benroubi holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University (USA) and a M.Sc in Management from Troy State University (USA).

ANASTASIOS ARANITIS

Director General, AKTOR Group of Companies

Anastasios Aranitis is the Director General of AKTOR Group. He has extensive experience in the construction and engineering sectors, specializing in the delivery and management of large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.

In his role as Group Director General, he actively contributes to the strategic planning of AKTOR Group, overseeing the execution of corporate objectives both in Greece and internationally.

Throughout his career, he has led the delivery of major technical projects across a wide range of sectors, including metro systems, railways, roadworks, motorway maintenance and operations, as well as concession and PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects. Prior to his current role, he served as Technical Director at AKTOR S.A. and Deputy Director of the Infrastructure Division at MYTILINEOS S.A. In addition, he was the owner and CEO of D. Kougioumtzopoulos S.A., a metal structures manufacturing company, which experienced significant growth under his leadership.

Anastasios Aranitis is a PhD candidate at the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where he also earned his Civil Engineering degree in 1991. He pursued further studies at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (ENPC) in Paris, France. He is fluent in English and French.

KONSTANTINOS MAKEDOS

MBA, MSc., President of TMEDE & First Vice-Chairperson of Attica Bank S.A.

Under his leadership, TMEDE became the 1st integrated digital services provider in its sector and attained full membership in the prestigious European Association of Guarantee Institutions (AECM). He strategically amplified TMEDE’s lending role through the establishment of TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, in conjunction with a joint fund with the Hellenic Development Bank, facilitating working capital of up to €400,000 for SMEs. Furthermore, the Group expanded its services in 2020 through TMEDE Properties, offering specialized and client-focused services in Real Estate Financial Management Consulting.

Mr. Makedos’s distinguished career includes prior tenures as Chairperson of Attica Bank and Vice-Chairperson of Pancreta Bank. He is an elected member of the Panhellenic Delegation of the Technical Chamber of Greece and has held significant leadership roles, notably as President of the former engineers’ insurance fund, ETAA/TSMEDE. His professional experience encompasses substantial involvement in major infrastructure projects, where he has served as a designer and technical consultant.

ALEXANDROS MICHAILIDIS

Alexandros Michailidis is the Deputy CEO and General Technical Director at TERNA S.A., a company of GEK TERNA Group.

He joined the company in the early 1990s as a construction engineer and has served as Project Manager for some of TERNA’s largest construction projects in Greece and abroad.

ALEXANDRA SDOUKOU

Alexandra Sdoukou was born in 1978 and raised in Thessaloniki, originally from Grevena and Ioannina. She graduated in 2000 from the law school of Democritus University of Thrace and holds postgraduate degrees in European Commercial Law from the University of Bristol, Great Britain, as well as in International & Economic Studies from the Athens University of Economics. She is a lawyer and a permanent executive in the Development Program Management Organization Unit (DPU SA) of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance. Since 2004, she has been working in public administration in the Ministries of Economy (2004-2007), Development (2007-2009), Environment, Energy and Climate Change (2009-2015).

She has extensive expertise and experience in the design, management and monitoring of co-financed European programs and public projects as well as energy policies, while from 2007 to 2015 she served as an advisor to the Ministers of Energy.
In 2016-2017 she took a break and worked in the private sector.

From October 2017 to 2019 she worked as an Advisor on Energy and Natural Resources to the President of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis. From 2019-2023 she served as Secretary General of Energy and Mineral Raw Materials. On June 27, 2023, she assumed the duties of Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy and handed over the portfolio in March 2025.

NIKOLAOS PETROULIAS

Olympios Group is currently employing more than 200 employees and has successfully delivered over the last decade, more than 200 major turn-key water management projects in Greece and Cyprus.

Mr. N. Petroulias has also been a founding member, and has served as President, of the Hellenic Water Association, the Greek governing member of International Water Association (IWA).

His professional career has been dedicated to the development of sustainable solutions for water resources, highlighting the role of Greece in the international dialogue on water. With a passion for innovation and sustainable development, he has contributed through his business activity to the evolution of the sector, bringing to the fore new technologies and best practices that empower society and the economy.

MANOS MANOUSAKIS

Chairman & CEO, IPTO

Manos Manousakis is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO or ADMIE) since June 2017.

In 2019, he was elected Member of the Board of Directors of the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E).

Previously, Mr. Manousakis was the CEO of OTE Rural North and South, having held various positions of responsibility in the Greek Telecommunications Company, where he played an instrumental role in the design of cutting-edge telecommunication services.

He was appointed Secretary General of the Hellenic Ministry of Economy (2015), as well as a Director at Black Sea Trade and Development Bank for the same period.

Mr Manousakis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He has also academic experience having been a lecturer at the University of Piraeus. His career combines business development leadership and complex project management with country strategic planning.

GEORGIA STEFANAKOU

Executive Director of Major Projects, EYDAP

Georgia Stefanakou was born in Athens, graduated from the 2nd Arsakeio Lyceum of Psychiko and studied Civil Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

She completed her MSc in Sanitary Engineering at the Athens School of Public Health and MSc in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida, USA.  She speaks English and French.

She has been working at EYDAP since 1990, where she gained significant experience in the full range of the Company’s technical operations, in the design, tendering, construction of water supply and wastewater networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, port projects, industrial and energy projects, operation and maintenance of major facilities, as well as in the management of EYDAP projects and facilities of all scales.

With uninterrupted experience in positions of responsibility since 2001, she has served as Head of Service of the Psyttalia Wastewater Treatment Plant (2001 – 2013) where she successfully managed the normalization of the disposal and utilization of the sludge produced, as well as the consolidation of the operation of all facilities of the most important environmental project in Greece and one of the largest in the world, while she was also appointed Deputy Director of Wastewater Treatment Plants (2011 – 2013) and then Director of Infrastructure (2013-2014).

Since 2014, at the top level of the EYDAP management structure, she took the position of Assistant General Director of Networks and Facilities Operations (2014-2016) with responsibility for three technical directorates and the coordination of major actions to modernize and reduce the energy footprint of the operation of EYDAP’s major facilities, external aqueducts and dams, Water Treatment Plants and Wastewater Treatment Plants.  Subsequently, from the position of Assistant General Manager of East Attica Projects (2016 – March 2021), under the responsibility of the East Attica Projects Directorate, she organized the multi-level strategic planning for the integrated wastewater management of the communities of East Attica, the cooperation with the Municipalities of East Attica and the implementation, with co-financing from European programs, of EYDAP’s environmental wastewater treatment and sewerage projects in East Attica.

As of May 2021, she assumed the position of Executive Director of Major Projects with responsibility for the monitoring and coordination of six Directorates in charge of the planning, financing and implementation of the new major projects of EYDAP’s investment plan, including sewerage, wastewater treatment and reuse of treated water from the Wastewater Treatment Plants in East Attica.

HARRY SACHINIS

Mr. Sachinis, since 2019, is the Chief Executive Officer of EYDAP, the largest water and wastewater company in Greece.

He, previously, held the position of Business Development Officer at Aegean Airlines.

He has been involved in private equity as a Partner at Global Finance, as an Operating Partner at Advent International and independently.

He was, formerly, the Chairman and CEO of DEPA Group, where he tripled its profitability, negotiated and completed major supply contracts worth $20 billion and contributed in the shaping of alternative gas supply routes to Europe.

He has also served as President of the McGraw-Hill Companies’ Business Information Group, which he made into one of the top global business-to-business information companies, specializing in the energy, construction, aviation, aerospace and defense industries.

Prior to this, he was President of Platts, which he built into the world’s largest energy and commodities price and information provider. At the same time he actively promoted transparency and integrity in the global energy markets.

He was also Group Vice President of Standard & Poor’s, where he grew key strategic businesses in the financial information sector.

He has served as Vice Chairman of ATHEXClear, while he is Member of the Boards of Directors of ENEXClear, Atlantic Council and the Investment Committee of CNL Capital.

He holds an engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

GIORGOS KARAMEROS

He was born in 1974 and grew up in Panorama Acharnon. His father comes from the prefecture of Ilia and his mother was born and raised in Athens. He studied Journalism in Athens and Sunderland, England, while very early in contact with the Ecology movements. He holds an MBA Marketing degree and has been a member of ESIEA since 2002.

He has been married since 2003 to the conservator of antiquities and works of art Tania Giosis who also deals with communication. Together they have two children, Panagiotis and Efi.

He also cooperated with the Cultural organization of the Municipality of Phylis “Parnitha” and also with the Directorate of Environment for ecological issues while he continues to cooperate with the Municipality of Phylis on communication matters. He is politically active in Eastern Attica.

He has taught journalism at the ANT1 MediaLab and is still at the Homeri training school.

Mr. Apostolos G. Papapostolou was born in 1984 and hails from Moschochori, Fthiotida.

Since February 2022, he has been serving as the Chairman of the Regulatory Authority for Ports.

He holds degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Political Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Master’s degree in International and European Studies from the School of Economics, Business and International Studies at the University of Piraeus. He is currently a PhD candidate in the same field.

He has worked in the private sector (banking and financial services, business consulting, investment coordination). He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of P.P.A. S.A., representing the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF).

He participated in the Support and Documentation Team for the new Programming Period 2021–2027, focusing on Integrated Maritime Policy and Insular Areas.

He is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.

He speaks fluent English and has knowledge of German.

GEORGIA LINARAKI

Vice President of the Board of Directors of the V Group

in Pollution Control Technologies Engineering. She began her professional career in 2004 at the company Antipollution, where she initially worked in the Project Development Department.

From 2015 to 2019, she served as Vice President of the company, and in 2020 she assumed the position of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. Since 2021, she has held the role of Vice President of the Board of Directors of the V Group, where she coordinates strategic initiatives in the fields of marine environmental protection, waste management, and energy.

Her contribution to the sector has been internationally recognized, as she was honored with the title of “Ambassador of Sea & Environmental Protection” by the organization Who is Who Greece, while in 2021 she was distinguished at the International Who is Who Awards as “World Woman Leader of Shipping & Sea Protection.”

In 2024, she was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, undertaking the responsibilities of Deputy Chair of the Services Department.

PAUL M. XIRADAKIS

Paul M. Xiradakis is the Director of Megatugs Salvage & Towage, with over 20 years of experience in the field of marine towage and salvage.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Shipping and Maritime Transport from London Guildhall University and a Master’s degree in Maritime Law, with distinction, from City University of London.

Since 2017, he serves as President of the Hellenic Shipowners’ Association of Tugs, Salvage, Antipollution and Offshore Support Vessels, actively enhancing and promoting the sector both in Greece and internationally.

NIKOS CHATZINIKOLAOU

Nikos Chatzinikolaou was born on October the 9th 1962, in Alexandroupolis, Evros. He started working as a journalist in 1983 covering education topics in the newspaper “MESIMVRINI”.

In September 2007 he founded along with Andreas Kouris the «Real Group», which owns the radio station “Real Fm 97.8” in Athens, “Real Fm 107.1” in Salonica, “Ellinikos 93,2” in Athens, the weekly (every Sunday) newspaper “Real News” and the news portal “Real.gr”.
